Herrringbone and I succeeded in breaching the boardroom at Smiley's Warehouse, but @smiley has slipped through our metaphorical fingers again.

On the bright side, @Mohair--with the help of Pinstripe and Tweed--have taken The Omega Project, and @Houndstooth has made it to Base 1.

Another stroke of luck was the discovery of a clone machine here at the Smiley HQ. A clone machine here at the Smiley HQ. With this, the Travelling Jackets can enter the holy Era of Mass Production, and extend our sleeves to every inch of the universe!

Then, at long last, we will finally be able to enter the presence of The Great Drycleaner.

So, a clone machine eh?

What should I clone? Hmmm....

Oh, I know:

ME!
ME!
ME!
Me!
Me!
Me!
me!
me!
me!

APPLES

At @Seersucker's request, I went in search of a janitorial station, looking for stain remover. After having no luck in a certain broom and mop closet I noticed one of the ceiling tiles ajar and decided to poke my (borrowed) head in to take a look. Naturally it was quite dark and I couldn't see anything but hints of a framework of metal supports, extending into the darkness like a wild jungle gym at night. But the breeze was fresh and there was a sense of space and openness, and I began to climb.

Higher into the ramparts, metal crossbars became catwalks, and I wandered through a great enclosure. From the great distance I must have achieved I began to make out distant lights in the darkness, perhaps the rooms of Smiley's Warehouse laid out before me, shafts of light shining through suspended ceilings, missing tiles, occasional skylights, whole parking lots in the noonday sun.

Then, from odd angles that took me some time to recognize, there were other rooms, other buildings, caught in the same interstitial network of riveted metal supports. They were other collections of habitats caught in the dark latticework, glowing in the ghostly fashion of dandelion heads ready to be blown, sprinkled through the darkness, expanding off in all directions.

I've arrived at what appears to be a control room, or perhaps a bridge. Panels of view screens, black and white transmissions from all the rooms in Smiley's Warehouse, but different locations too. I see my fellow traveling jackets have even made it to a few of them. A loosely connected cluster of moments...

The control room seems recently vacated. Discarded snack wrappers and a cup of lukewarm coffee sit on a table. Where could they be?
