Call me Whisper. Whisper Vex.

I've driven flash for the Unoiled Concubines, and for the Wishmore Achievers, and the Lonesome Revivers too. I've moved shipments of canned starhawk through the Famine Straits and provided refreshments at the Convocation of the Shadowfates. I've done the slingshot through the Needles and come back with a full load. Twice.

I only transport the hottest products through the hottest markets, and these Erroneous Nail Discovery Kits are the hottest thing I've touched since the last captive market went up in flames.

So we're torching a path to the Outer Reaches, blazing a trail of deals ready to burn the fingers of the most sizzling consumers.

The Finger Tribes will never be the same.

I watched the Prixxi every day for a week, parked at the aerodrome. In the morning I'd go to the coffee shop across from the aerodrome, the one with the little outdoor patio, and get an iced coffee. I'd get a starfish sandwich and a mineral water for lunch. Tea at three. Watching the Prixxi. Studying the maintenance routines. Studying the crew's comings and goings.

Finally, I picked my moment, gathered my courage, put my hat on my head, and went to talk to the captain.
